Keeping Silent.

“And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.”

Just as the rocks would have cried out, shall we all now be silent about God’s word or even silent about His Son Jesus? Shall we be afraid or even ashamed to cry out Gods words just because men hurt us, mock us or make rude comments about our faith in God? Shall we not mention the truth of the word because it doesn’t agree with men’s ideas of what the world ought to be, or should we be silent when men make comments that offend us? Should we fear men more than God?

The name of Jesus puts fear in the hearts of men today, that is the reason many fight against reading or even hearing God’s word, why else would it offend them so much that they will attack any who write about or believe in Jesus? They fear God’s word because they believe, in the back of their minds, that it is true and they will all give account of their lives, that they will be judged and condemned, just as the word states.

They fear God’s word because it shows them that they are just mortal, vulnerable to all manner of sickness, that unrighteous behavior is unacceptable with God and even death will befall all. They fear God’s word because it shows them that there is one greater than they, one who created all things, one who controls all things and one who will judge all things.

The time is coming that the Lord shall answer all who would mock Him, His word and His Son. “Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.”

Men shall not face the passive Lamb in the end days but a roaring Lion.

The beginning of the end of false doctrine, false gods and false teachers will soon be at hand.

“The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies. I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once. I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.”

There are those in this world that have made it their lifelong commitment to mock God and His children. To make good seem evil before the eyes of those that have little knowledge of God’s plan for mankind. Jesus was surrounded by such men, men who hated Him because He told them the truth about their righteousness being as filthy rags. They hated Him because he had a greater understanding of the law, God’s word and true religion. They hated Him because He fulfilled the prophecies of the Messiah and refused to give them an earthly kingdom as King David did.

They believed that if they killed Him His message would die with Him, but they were wrong. The message that Christ brought to this world became stronger, even though men also tried to silence His disciples, and the preacher to the gentiles Paul. As the disciples and Paul were not ashamed of this gospel, we today, who believe in God’s word, are also not ashamed of it.

We shall speak, without fear, we shall speak without doubt, we shall speak with confidence in the Lord and we shall speak as we are commanded by Christ; “What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.” This gospel that we believe is the power of God unto salvation to those that are lost, for Christ is our redeemer, our Saviour, our King and Prince; He is our substance, our source and supply, our shield in times of trouble and our healer in the times of sickness. He is our strength when weakness befalls us, our hope in times of hopelessness and our light in these days of darkness.

For this should be our prayer to the Lord also; “And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.”

We shall avoid those that try to bring forth another doctrine that Christ delivered unto us, we shall not be partaker of things that God has declared to be an abomination or unrighteous, we shall be vigilant to the words of truth, holding on to them for they are light and the life of the world. We shall speak as we are taught by the Holy Ghost and always remember that our Lord is our strength, our freedom and our salvation.
